Hyperion EOS0606i AC/DC Balance Charger Question

Ok, I've been eyeballing this charger, cause I'm about to lipo the fleet. Well, I start looking and this may be a stupid question, but I don't see any charge leads....
http://www.maxamps.com/Eos6i-AC-DC.htm
Does it come with any? I'd like to have a Tamiya on the charger, since I already have pigtails for the various batteries I charge. Is it something you have to buy separately? Anybody know?

Yes, it
should
.. although it's a bit odd they are not shown in that picture. I bought the 5i and it has bullet plugs on the right side for charge output, and came with pigtails pre-tinned. I had to solder on deans connector, but otherwise it came all in the box. The nice thing is that you can get additional pigtails if you have multiple connection types.
You may want to call Maxamps and ask them, they actually answer their phone and are really helpful. It would have to have some some of output other than the balancer plug adapter (that blue piece with five white plugs) because the Lipo packs will need to connect with both the balancer plug and your standard pack plug, for example deans or tamiya. If it doesn't come with one, I'm sure they come cheap, and I even saw some sitting on the wall at CRC with deans ends already soldered on.
That is an awesome charger, you will love it. If you get it from Maxamps, be sure to sign up on the left column first, you get an instant 5% off and that goes to 10% off after you spend $100.
Two other things
1- I bought mine from
Bishop Power Products
, they were slightly cheaper. They also have free shipping, and that charger is currently $139.99 there.
2- Hyperion also makes a
"610i" charger
that is the same, but has dual outputs, so you can charge two packs at once, up to 10 amps each! It includes two balancers so you can charge two LiPos even. It's pricey at $270 but it's cheaper than two chargers..

Cool, thanks for the info Chris. I'll give them a call and make the order, I want to order the wiring harness to charge both 2s2p batts at once anyway, and in the forums they say you need to call for that.
I'm gonna drop a lot more than $100 with them. I hope they give me the 10% on this order. I'm gonna do a 4s2p for the Revo and two 2s2ps for the E-Maxx and Rustler, a 2s1p for the Mini-T, a Lipo Sack, two inline LVCs, extended warranties and the charger....I figure I might as well convert everything at once, I'll just be wishing I did later on anyway. Take the big hit now and be done for a couple of years hopefully.
Think they'll throw mw a 10% bone if I spend that much?

Lee,
That's the one I just bought. It's a great charger. When you order it, you tell them what kind of ends you want.

They should give you the 10%, that's going to be one heck of an order. Actually it goes to 15% after I think $500, so you may be getting up in that range soon
If not you could always place it as two orders, one for just over $100 and then place the rest on the second order after the extra discount kicks in.
I've been really happy with Maxamps, they walked me through my first time charging the Lipo because I didn't understand the external balancer and was afraid of the thing! Austin, the owner, actually answers the phone sometimes himself, but they're all knowledgable about their products.
Oh one more thing, you can pay like $2 a pack extra for 12g wire, it's worth it in my opinion.

When I bought the (2) 5s 6000mah batteries from them, I also bought the warranty. For an extra 30-40 bucks per battery (less on a smaller size battery) you can get a 3 year warranty good for 3 years or 300 cycles. (though they basically just use the date and time)
I also got the 12g wire too... standard on some size batteries.

Thanks for all the info guys, I had planned to get the extended warranties, the 12ga wire and the "skins" for all of them. This is a big investment for me and I want all the protection I can get.

Are they charging through the balancer taps on that charger???
On my super brain 989, (my wife thought I didn't have one!) I charge through the battery taps with the balancer hooked up that way I can charge it at 8 amps since it is a 8000mah. Just curious.
Is anyone planning on racing this weekend at CRC, I am if not have a good weekend! Unfortunately, I will not be there on sunday have fun!

I actually talked to them today and it does come with a set of charge leads, like Chris said, you just have to add a deans.
