I just got a savage 4.6 the first upgrade i wanna do is the wheels i want bigger wheels and tires but i dont want to mount them does anyone know where i can buy a bigger set of wheels and tires for the savage... also any other upgrade recomdations  are welcome let me know what i need to do to make my savage a beast !!!!

Because Im a power junky id go with a bigger motor..and some suspension parts..like upgraded shocks etc.. Also depending on what you plan to do with it (Bashing im assuming) Id go with some Pro line Bow tie tires.. I run them on my Maxx and they grip and perform very well for bashing/ Racing (on and off road)

i had an STS .28 in my savage 4.6 and it was fast as ever cheap motor to..my first mods were RPM arms all around was alot better then stock ones..which i broke in 2 hours of owning the truck lol

I"ve only run a couple of tanks through mine, but I did the Ofna throttle mod before I even started mine. It's suppose to help with the linkage binding and it does seem to work smoother than stock. You can find the procedure at savagecentral.com, they also have a lot of great info period about the Savage.

ofna throttle mod is good i can back that up aswell the stock linkage sucks
