Killer location. Killer heat  Undecided I was getting a bit dizzy by the end of the day, hiking up that hill to get out was pushing it.

Three courses ran, there was a good mix and I think everyone had difficulty on at least one course. I did fairly well on the first course, getting out at 1 point which was 2nd best. Course 2 killed me - I pointed out at 40! I did good again on the final course, only taking one point for a back up and finished at -4 or -5. can't remember how many gates there were.

I don't know the guy that took first, I think he was from NC rock runners club - Silas and Tom knew him from before. Tom took second and I took third. I think (Icepick) Bill took fourth - he was really rocking the course today!

I like how the scoring works. After getting pointed out on course two I was ready to quit and skip course three, mainly because I just wanted to get out of the sun. Because some of the other setups didn't perform so well on the final course I was able to make up for the bad 2nd round. A LOT of people took points for repairs, driveshafts were popping everywhere.

I remember 4 VERY nice runs.

Mike, the guy that more than likely took 1st overall has a smooth run on Course 1

Miller had a very good run on Course 1 as well. Ice was the man, showing off his driving skills, on Course 2. He may have had the best run of the day there, sans the 1st climb.

I think Tom was the other guy that had another kick a$$ run on course 2 also.

And yeah, there were of shafts hanging everywhere.  Angry Roll Eyes Cry

Thanks to Silas, John, & Jennifer for the hot work.

Even saw  2 or 3 Slash's lurking about................

*** Nice to meet some of the other guys too.

Steve O you missed a slashing good crawl today. I was very very hot I just got rid of the headache. Bill has been practicing Shocked ,Chris Millers rig is bullet proof Cool, Dougs rig was 1000x's better  ;)and the stronger servo made a huge difference. You guys (Steve , Lee and Bill) were missed Cry. The next comp is next weekend at the same place . It will be put on by CRR. I am not sure when NCRCC plans the next comp. If I can get the time off I wouldn't mind heading back up there,
