Well, I didn't get much time in and I broke another Traxxas CVD and a tie rod end. This is #4 for the axles.  :?  Good thing I bought extras.

You're as hard on trucks as Orangecrush is on ankles

I hate to give up on the Traxxas CVD's but this is getting old.

Good thing the end piece is only $7.00.

I wonder if another name brand would do the same thing?

Ouch.. I wonder if those tires are too big? Do you know anyone else that has a similar setup without problems? It might be too much stress on the suspension with all that weight on the end.

If RPM makes a part, try them. Their A Arms are MUCH better than the stock Traxxas ones, and they also have a lifetime warranty against breakage on all their parts. It's hard to tell in that picture, but what broke? You mentioned the CVD - did it just pop out or did it actually break too? I've heard good things about the MIP CVDs on other platforms, maybe see if they make them for your truck.

To me, the worst part about breaking something is the downtime to get a new part and replace it. A few bucks here and there doesn't bother me, but for it to end the run for the day is more painful.

He's got the RPM arms but the tires(XL and 40series) arent helping. I know his driving style probably has alot to do with it plus the BL power.

He keeps breaking the steel Traxxas CVD's I believe.

You could give the MIP's a try Mark. See if they fair better or not. Or maybe UE 6mm CVD's?

When I get home tonight I'm going to take a closeup picture of the piece that is breaking. It looks like "pot metal" tin or something inside.  :?

Well, here's a closeup shot. It looks like it just snapped. There's not a mark in the metal at the breakage.

It's hard to zoom in that close.

Wow, like you said, it just looks like a clean break. Do they all look about the same after you destroy them?

How's your other project coming along?  :?

Yes, they all look just like this one. It's weird.

My other project is coming along but I am waiting on some parts I ordered almost 2 months ago.  :x
