I just started working on my Scalpel and thought I would pass this along to the others who are currently building or planning on building a pan car, or any car with woven graphite parts.

Sand and seal the edges of the parts. Round off the edge on the bottom side of the chassis and seal it with a thin CA glue. This prevents it from getting broken, shattered, or frayed in a crash. And you know how some of us drive   Using a thin CA glue is best as it soaks into the fiber and it runs along the edge to aid in covering it. Just don't glue yourself to the chassis.

I admit, this step is a pain in the butt, but well worth it as an end result.

I had just read that in an rc mag a coulpe weeks ago and actually forgot to do it too my TC I just put together, they also recommended if you do not have CA glue you can use clear nail polish on the edges, I guess you get the kind that doesn't chip!!! ha ha!

You have a carpet knife? Was it a group share deal, another RC passed amongst the group?
