I planned to use a cutting wheel on a dremel, but found it didn't work too well. The rubber on the tennis balls is thicker and stronger than I expected, so it was real slow. Then I got the burning rubber fumes combined with melting felt and it was pretty bad. Anyone have ideas on what else would work? I was thinking some tin snips or something like that, but it would be hard to do with the roundness of the balls.

How about stiitches when you cut your thumb(s)?  Shocked

I think it could be done, but be sure you have a new sharp blade and are very careful. I think a strong pair of metal scissors or tin snips could be the answer. Should be fairly easy once you get inside.

Ok Dad..... Roll Eyes

Just ring it like and orange a couple of times with a sharp knife, nothing is going to be easy, tennis balls are pretty tough.

 Cheesy

A sawsall and a vice might do the trick.

True tennis balls are tough, usually tougher than the people who hit them.  Shocked

What I did is went to Walmart and got this bag of cheap tennis balls... something like 6.97 for the bag of 12. They are Wilson balls, but not the best quality.

I then used a razor/Utility Knife to cut them... pole the point of the knife in, and your good to go... just cut away from your self... not hard to cut at all...

Here is what I did too with a stencil and airbrush!
