Three of the last four orders I've placed with Tower has been shipped from their Reno location rather than Illinois. The result is a two to four day increase in delivery times to me in Charlotte. Most orders in the past took two to three days, and from Reno it takes around a week for standard shipping. Their two day delivery prices remain unchanged, but it's expensive. I read about it on their site and they claim it's a second location to better serve west coast customers, and the product will ship from the closest location with stock. From what I've seen, most of their stock is now in Reno, the one time out of four that I had an order come from Il. was a split shipment, part from each location.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues lately? I love Tower and have used them a lot, but this extended shipping is making me consider going with others.

I just received an order from Tower yesterday (3-18). I placed the order on Thursday (3-13). AND everything came from Champagne, Illinois. From what I have experienced, when an order is called in by phone, the salesperson estimate's a little longer shipping maybe by a couple of days to get you to upgrade shipping. But I have always got my order on the 1st day of thier estimated arrival 3 day window. So I never pay any extra shipping. Knock on wood, nothing but smooth sailing with Tower so far.
