Yep, it is, and I believe it's painted on the outside vs. the inside.

I like the beater bodies too. I saw one that I think was a hard plastic shell, or a lexan painted on the outside. It was painted with a dull finish, had rust spots, scuffed paint, and one section that looked like Bondo :lol:

I may get a spare body of some sort and give the outside paint technique a try, I really like the look of the beaters.
