my mip diffs where built and i tighten them all the way then backed it out 1 turn , they slip so its at a half turn now and still slipping, how far should i tighten it up

I'd say I backed mine out 1/4 turn at most. I went more by feel since it was hard to hold the geared side tight, unscrew the other side, and keep an eye on how much it was turning.

Tight would be so that if you hold the gear and rotate one outdrive, the other outdrive turns in oppositie smoothly. Then hold both outdrives (I used a flat bladed screwdriver in the outdrive slots) and try turn the gear with your hand, it should barely turn and only with a good deal of pressure applied.

That's "tight".. I loosened the rear a bit more to get some steering and keep it from sliding out. Now that the track has a grip surface, I will probably tighten the rear down again.
