Alright, here's my Pit Bull rant and this is one soap box I'll never give up:

I wish Vick had gotten life, the low life scum deserves to live out his life in the same size cage and under the same conditions he kept those poor dogs. You guys know how much I love my pit Pete. He's the 4th pit I've had, all have been stellar dogs, loyal, loving and devoted. They are never aggressive or mean in any way, just loving family pets, great with kids, very animated, really fun dogs to have around. They make GREAT cattle/working dogs too (the original intent for most bullies). I think it's ridiculous the way they're treated and discriminated against, both in so called shelters and ingnorant legislation. They're great dogs, if you don't believe me, let me know and I'll introduce you to Petie.

I'm glad to see the dogs Vick tortured are being cared for and rehabilitated at real shelters that know what special dogs these breeds truly are. Take a look at the video of these incredible dogs that's linked at the top of the attached webpage. Even after all these dogs have been through, with a little love and proper care, they're lovable, accepting dogs. Not mean toward people in any way. I've said since I was a kid (got my first pit, Buck, when I was 12), you shouldn't be scare of pit bulls, you should be scared of the people who make pit bulls mean.

Here are a few of my favorite shots of Pete....he's such a doofus, but I love him. Cheesy

I thought he was a boxer mix, not pit. KEEP HIM AWAY AHHHH!

Yeah I've been around plenty of pits that were as cool as can be, and I've been around plenty that were mean SOBs. No different than any other breed - they develop habits from how they are raised. It just happens that a lot of people that get pit bulls choose them because they want an aggressive dog, and raise them to be that way.

And I agree that Vick should have been hit a LOT harder than he did - if it were a 'normal' joe caught under similar circumstance, he wouldn't be seeing the outside world for a long time.

Is this picture the day you got him at the rescue center? He looks like a different dog.

No, that was when I got trapped in Maryland for a year, of course if I hadn't gotten trapped there, I wouldn't have found Pete....so....I guess something good did come from it.

2 of my friends have pits also. The one has 2 of them. They are really nice and athletic dogs. They have never tried to bite anyone. They really love breaking tree branches though
