Any updates?

Unfortunately not-work is hectic.  All of my RC's (1/16 slash, AX10 stock, Stampede, parts to build a 1/16 MERV) are sitting on my kitchen table aka workbench.  Good thing I'm a bachelor.  I need to sit down and figure out my mod list and get that going again.

Got some play time in this weekend.  Neighborhood kids love me.  One has an emaxx that he can't bash (his uncle's) but does hill climbs/runs around the street.  I did a quick fix on the bent link and took the stampede out-a few battery packs later I had a stripped spur but I kind of expected it jumping it off the porch >3' tall onto concrete.  So that means upgrade time. Smiley

Widening it with the pro trac suspension kit, alum carriers/new bearings, alum castors, bumper mount/engine guard, VXL setup (probably a tranny upgrade for this-older pede it turns out), and some badland 30's on TBD rims.

Loving this truck-need to sell the 1/16 slash/revo to make some $$ for upgrading this and the crawler.

Let me know how you like the Pro trac suspension. Ive heard good things about it. What kind of batteries are you bashing with ?? Just curious.

Have you seen the new 4x4 Stampede yet ??

* Hurry up and get my VXL motor for that Stampede.  Grin I'm upgrading too. My E-Maxx could use a new Castle motor.

Shoot me an email and we'll figure out a time on the motor.  I'm gonna toss it and the VXL in and see how quickly the tranny lasts-it's the old school original pede it turns out so it will be interesting. Smiley

Will hopefully have the suspension by the end of the week.  Tires/rims will be a bit longer but I may still run the stockers.

Saw the 4x4 but since I already had this one.

Right now I'm running 7 cell Nimh but will be picking up some lipos-haven't done that research yet-I'm pretty hard on the truck so not sure if I want to run lipo or not...  Pulled out some new zippies and hyperions-3 of 6 were puffy.  Gonna dispose of em vs. taking any risks.  My fault for not paying attention and monitoring them.

Cool, I'll email you this weekend about the motor.

Nah, I was just wondering if you'd seen the Pede 4x4. NOT go buy it. The 2wd Rustler/Pede trucks are alot of fun and pretty tough.

Now that Ive got my VXL Rusty squared away, I'm wanting to get a lipo in it too. Ive always run it on 7cell GP's or MA's. The only lipo's I have ever used were the smaller one's in my crawler.

Ive got to do the lipo upgrade in my E-Maxx too. I'm upgrading here & there and making some big changes to that truck so going lipo is a must.

Ah yeah-misread the post.  I like the stampede 4x4.

What's up with the E-maxx mods?

I haven't started doing research yet on bashing lipos.  Doesn't seem like a good combo but I'm guessing hard cases and additional lipo sacks are in order.

Speaking of which-pulled my lipos (4 zippys BNIB and 2 hyperions that had maybe 5 runs) and 1 zippy and the hyperions were nice and puffy.  Glad I was keeping them in the lipo sack in an ammo box.  Not gonna mess with them beyond disposing properly

Yep-I enjoy it since I already had the spare parts to fix this.  The Hyper I had to order parts in. Sad
