Was wondering what you guys use to clean your trucks? After bashing Sunday with you guys I went down to my cousin's house and ran it there some too. I got it wet plus the ground was spongey so it's pretty nastly looking. What do you guys use to clean your trucks?
I just got into cleaning mine but it was so nasty I took it outside with some cheap mild oven cleaner I had laying around and soaked it for about 3 minutes then sprayed it down (not the servos/trans/motor) just the front/rear of the truck mainly. It cleaned the hell out of it, but I was wondering if this could have any damaging effects on the truck?

It depends just how dirty I get it, but here's the two procedures I use. First I use an air compressor to blow off the loose stuff, for both procedures. Then if it's just a little dusty and nitro shmutz covered I use a 75% denatured alcohol and 25% Simple Green and spray the whole truck down, then blow it off again with the compressor. If it's really muddy, I use straight Simple Green, cover the electronics with plastic and turn the water hose on it. Once I'm done I use the air compressor again and blow off all the water. After both procedures I spray the whole truck down with spray silicone and the hit it once more with the compressor. The silicone makes it look brand new, keeps anything that's slightly damp from rusting as well as keeping the dirt from sticking as bad next time. Hope that helps.

Another thing to keep in mind, is that ppl use oven cleaner to remove chrome from rims, and anodizing from aluminum. Bearing that in mind, I would try to avoid using oven cleaner to do my trucks. Just a tiny bit of it gets through to the electronic circuit boards, and it will more than likely kill it.

The oven cleaner I have is a very watered-down version of Easy-Off. It's the crappy Wal-Mart brand and it's non-toxic. I used it a while back to remove the chrome from my rims but it took 2+hours of soaking and some serious elbow grease with the hard side of a sponge, some dish detergent, and warm water.
What would you guys recommend using to remove the paint from a body that's flaking real badly?

I heard brake cleaner, but it turned my body cloudy too. If its not lexan paint (probably not where its flaking off easily) then nitro fuel will work. If all else fails, could always paint the outside of it.

I tried the oven cleaner and it didn't even phase it. I'm going to try some Brake Fluid and see how that works. If all else fails I'll douse it in some of that funky ass Traxxas fuel that Chris has!

Thats about all that traxxas fuel is good for....lol I had more issues running that stuff in my truck, than any issues (be it tuning or broken parts) combined when i used it.

Speaking of having problems. No more running Blue Thunder. When I finish off this 1/8th of a gallon I'm only going to run Torco or Sidewinder... Can't beat Torco @ 107 for a case of 4 plus they have a promotion buy one case get a gallon free whenever you want it!

I've tried a bunch of different fuel and I won't buy anything but Nitrotane from now on.

Anything in a spray can. I think I have WD-40 brand right now.
