I've got the original E-Maxx and even under light throttle I get really bad body roll. What would be the recommended springs/oil viscosity to use in my front shocks being that they sag even when sitting still. I really want to lower the truck some but since it's the original one it doesn't have any shock mounting holes so adjustments are limited... Ideas?

Yeah, stock isn't very nice at all. You need to put your hands on some big bore shocks and some much heavier springs and oil. That's one of the first mods I did to my E-Maxx, it makes a world of difference.

If I kept my stock shocks, what would be a good oil weight to put in them? What spring would be good in it?

I use 70w oil all around, they come with 35w. I also use Trinity springs that apparently aren't available anymore. I'm using 4 XX heavy in the back and 2 X heavy and 2 XX heavy in the front. That being said, my E-Maxx is far from stock and has a lot of heavy parts added. But even stock you're way too soft, I'd still recommend something pretty heavy for spring rate. It took me a while to figure out where my suspension should be, it's a trial and error thing and different for racing and bashing. Do a search on Tower for springs, I think Odonnel and Integy make sets now. Hope that helps some.

Thanks Cajun, I think I'm going to invest in some 60W and try that. Also I'll look into the spring/shock setups you mentioned. I've had Integy stuff before and their aluminum is very brittle so I don't know if I will deal with them. How good is Odonnel stuff?

Yeah, Integy has a less than stellar rep for sure, I personally have no Integy on any of my stuff. I'm sure CB can hook you up, he's the best local shop for sure. Wink

Got the new springs installed in each corner and moved the preload spacers around... Threw on the 40 series Big Joes and Avalanche body and here's what I got...

Looks good! Got any shots with the lid off? Which springs did you use?

Here ya go... Nothing special though... It's pretty dirty too, I broke it when it was raining and I just haven't really cleaned it good since I installed the new bulkheads.
