Does anybody have any advice for removing chrome from new wheels?

Oven cleaner gets in pretty deep, you could try nail polish remover as well might take a little more elbow grease...just a quick swipe with thinners...

Heck, just give them to me to glue some tires on. I'm sure half of the chrome will come right off and get stuck to my hand.
