With the descent tax check we got this year, the wife and I decided to each take 500 bucks for whatever. I wanted to wait for the 1/16 revo, but that wont be out till sometime in June (if they stay on track that is). So I went ahead and picked up a summit. First impression, BIG!!! Its pretty much an erevo, with bigger tires (and softer than I thought they would be). As I look more into it, I will get pics up, and a general overall review. I am hoping I dont have some of the issues that others have commented on (broken diffs, but I wont be shifting under power, and running locked in full speed). More to come, with pics.

So far, the typical stuff from traxxas. loose screws, needed to center the dual steering (fighting each other), and I hear a strain from another servo, not sure which one yet, they are all pretty close together (assuming one of the diff servos). Tires actually took on some pressure indents from the box where they are so soft. The body, even not counting the exo-skeleton, is more rigid than all other stock traxxas bodies. One mod I need to do first, is to find my darn QCB decals.....lol
Pics will be up some time tonite, the wife was eating a ton of bandwidth were she was working from home, and uploading vids, while downloading "Solitary 3.0" (anyone else see this show on fox reality, its pretty cool).

Just ran it for about 2 minutes. Batteries been sitting to long, and need to be peaked. All in all, its average. Goes about as fast (maybe a touch slower) than a stock slash. I have no where to test the potential for crawling (not that I think it is a crawler). As soon as I get some peaked cells, I'll try to get a vid of speed passes, and I also have to double check to make sure it isnt in training mode.

EVX-2. Has the typical, full 100% brake and forward, 50%brake and forward, and 100% forward with no reverse.

OH OH!! Brain storm!!! When I feel it needs it, I could just lock the diffs, and use the diff locker switch, to run a shaft dig set up!

So far, its a pretty descent ride. Tough getting used to the LT rockers, but compared to a revo, over the smaller stuff I have been hitting, its like a caddy. It rolls into the corners pretty nice (alot of sidewall flex going on though). I cant see making this much faster, without doing a tire change too. Now I just need to get it to some rocks, to see how it fairs. I dont really feel like doing some of the stuff you see on youtube, yet. I'll leave the creek crawling up to the guys that want to complaint that their motors didnt hold up to grit and mud......lol

Working on something now, have no vids.....yet
I am hoping to make a killer one, and have it up by this weekend some time. Been playing around the house with it though, just nothing to worthy of the video I am hoping to get. The editing may take the longest, but we will see.

Well, video coming, not killer, but good (thanks to the missus for the editing). Bear with the shakes, the camera I used doesnt have image stabilization. Hopefully youtube doesnt block the audio, but with the Band I used, I would 100% expect it. Damn youtube takes forever to process.....lol
