This may very well be the worlds first electric MBX-6. I like to think so anyway.  Grin

I spent almost all day yesterday putting it together.

I wish I didn't have to go to work today.  Grin

Now why would you need a transponder in the sexy electric beast.  Wink

I saw the thread you got stirred up at CRC (big surprise  Roll Eyes) about running E-1/8ths at the Farm.  Grin

It's an 800 mah 2s lipo that I use for a receiver pack.

You can't see it from the pics but I have a HT Batteries voltage regulator on it to power my fans, transponder, servo and receiver.

I didn't start that thread over there. All I did was ask the question "Can we run electric 1/8th buggy" at the farm in the after worlds race thread.

I mean the name of the thread is "Who want's to race on the worlds track?"

You'd think I shot the pope. All hell broke loose and people from all side started bitching like crazy.

John edited me out of the discussion and started me my own thread. Wasn't that sweet of him?

You'll also notice that I only made about three post total in the whole fiasco and I have not been back over there since.

F'em, They need me a hell of alot more than I need them. And obviously they don't need me or my business much so I guess we're even.

There are other tracks around here to run on and not get such an elitist attitude.  Tongue

Yeah, that whole discussion seems a little silly. Why would they not let you run? Then the guy that posted you could run but you automatically get shuffled behind every nitro car if you're running electric. Sctually I think Jon posted that didn't he? What's the big advantage they believe elctric has? I mean to run a 20 minute main you have to change batts at least once, that's a  MUCH longer stop than for gas. I think it would all work out in the end....I think their scared of brushless myself.  Cool

I think your right.

I raced at round 2 of the Team Tilley Challenge down at The Grove last Saturday and did a battery swap in a 20 minute main. It took my buddy Dennis at least 35-45 seconds to swap my battery. Most of the nitro guys can do almost 2 laps in 45 seconds.

Dennis tells me that years ago electric 10th scale pro trucks came along and pretty much killed nitro 10th scale pro truck which apparently was a thriving class. And that's why they are so opposed to electric 1/8th.

I guess I can understand the nitro guys are not looking forward to having their ass handed to them by an electric 1/8th scale. But that's not what I'm all about anyway. This is a HOBBY for me!! I'm not the type of person that is driven to beat people. I just want to participate and have fun tinkering with my buggy.

Almost everyone of those guys can out drive me anyway. I don't see the harm so much, but who am I to say.

Ed Overcash just re-opened his track in Landis up at exit 68 and he said bring them on. Nitro Valley in Cherryville says bring them on, and The Grove, well that's my home track now.  Grin
