Author Topic: Need help about battery/balancer....  (Read 364 times)

I've got a lipo battery with a small end for the balancer. It's much smaller than the groove for the 2S slot.

My balancer has 5 slots.

A 2s, 3s and 4s slot.... all the same width.

The 5s slot is wider and the 6s is even wider than the 5s.

Is there an adapter needed to connect the balancer since the end on the battery is quite a bit narrower than the corresponding slot on the balancer?

Or do I have to replace the end on the battery?

Thanks,

Mark

Who makes the battery? There is actually about 5 different types of connectors used for balancer taps, you probably have a different one. The 18R I bought came with a Thunderpower Lipo and I had to get a different set of balancer connectors to match it.

Mark,
you have the Eos6i-AC-DC, charger,. It is for hyperion type balance connectors if I am correct, if your lipo is not this type it will not work.
My suggestion is to get a blinky balancer, it is universal too most packs.  Sometimes you have too move a wire in the balance connecotr like I did in the lipos I have but it works great and is cheap. They do sell them at Carolina's RC.
There is a connector for that charger I believe that will work.

Blinky price at Carolina's RC

You can get a connector for any type of balance tap for like $2, or multi-size adapters for about $6.

I bought the Hyperion and Thunderpower ones since I have three lipos now, all with different balancer tap ends.

Thanks guys... I'll check CRC tomorrow but it looks like I'll need to buy this.

That's the same one I had to order Smiley  CRC didn't have anything to work when I asked a few weeks ago, but you can try them. I'll bring it out tomorrow if you need to balance the pack - that should get you by for the 2 or 3 days it takes to get the piece from Max.
