Got any with addresses?  Me and the Family will be going that way for  a dental appointment and we were wondering where are some of the LHS's there.

Carolinas RC is a good one for race stuff. carolinasrc.com
Hobby Town has a couple of locations, but most of us have sworn them off due to bad service. hobbytown.com
Hobby Stop is my personal favorite, but it's down in Rock Hill. hobbystop.com

I agree with Lee, crc is good for race stuff
Hobby Town on Harris and on Pineville Matthews rd has poor customer service
the Hobby town in Monroe has been good to me.

But the best so far is The Hobby Stop.

I'll have to disagree about customer service at the HobbyTown in Pville. Although I can understand where you guys are coming from. I'm not really there all that much, maybe 3 or 4 times a month these last few months. But they know me pretty well now I guess.

Dave, Roger, & Eric are all good guys. Even Dave's wife and I chit chat from time to time. Just dont step on the cat  Tongue

The fish & the salad bar next door at Pier51 are pretty good too.  Grin

I'm one of the few who apparently is on good terms with the owners of the Hobby Town in Pineville, they are usually very well stocked on parts that I need, or if they don't have it they can order it and have in in a couple days. CRC is good for race stuff like the above post stated, but it seems that they don't have alot of other stuff like the smaller places. The Hobby Town on Harris Blvd is pretty clueless on what they have in stock, so if you can find it, great.

well, yesterday me and the kids went to hobby town in mooresville. Not too sure if the service was bad or not cuz I was just there to check it out with the kids. They all seemed nice and man, compaired to the closer LHS's, they had a lot of stock but prices were a tad higher than what I have seen on line.

I finally got the chance to see carolina rc place with the track. Nice is all have to say and the guys there seemed really nice. The buddy I was with had his hpi E-Savage with him but he was afraid his batteries would die and didn't have his charger. Besides we didn't have enough time to run it.

There a good chance you CANT run the larger E-trucks indoors at CRC. That is unless something has changed.

But yeah, I think it's a pretty nice place too. You were also about 5 minutes from The Farm too. It's on the other side of the highway.

Well the guy there was talking about renting Slashes there and from what I have seen, other than how much ground clearance it has, it looked like the E-Savage is about the same size as the Slash as far as length and width. Of course I could be wrong, but any who, when he said you can race slashes there,  Shocked that was music to my ears.  Grin

Now that I think about it, I should shut up, ya'll know more about that place than me lol. Sorry.  Undecided

Nah, it's all good. The Slash is ALL body so it's fairly large.

They are in the habit of renting several types of trucks. Some are/were the Losi BL rtr's.

The Slash's are a no brainer. I've sold mine, but let's rent a few. I'll run ya !!!  Wink

The only reason you guys think the guys at Pineville are decent is because you either don't remember or haven't been going there that long. I remember 5-6 years ago, I spent almost 5K in less than 5 weeks there.

I never asked anyone to kiss my ass, I never asked anyone to remember my name. I did however expect that when I as a customer would walk in the door, they would acknowledge the fact that I was standing there and not look at me and then ignore me without even saying hello.

Personally, I think they figured it out, eventually (especially when the Hobbytown on Harris opened). The last year or so that I've gone into Pineville, they've been very pleasant.

Competition is a good thing....

I'm liking the service I've gotten at the Monroe store so far. They seem to be trying pretty hard.
